Roglic, Vingegaard chip at Evenepoel’s Vuelta a España hole at Javalambre



Jumbo-Visma may hardly have raced a greater stage within the Vuelta a España on Thursday. Sepp Kuss gained the stage to the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre simply as crew leaders Primož Roglič and Jonas Vingegaard chipped away on the time they misplaced to Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep).

After giving up 26 seconds within the wet stage 1 crew time trial, a handful of seconds in time bonuses and one second on the stage to Arinsal, Vingegaard and Roglič had been 37 and 43 seconds behind, respectively, earlier than the stage. Now they’re 5 and 11 seconds down on Evenepoel, respectively, albeit now virtually three minutes adrift of recent race chief Lenny Martinez (Groupama-FDJ).
