The stricken creature was seen close to the roundabout method on London Highway in Hilsea final week. Police have been in a position to carry the white chook to security, away from oncoming site visitors.
It was then put again within the water with its household at Hilsea Lido. Portsmouth Police have been in a position to write a tongue in cheek response after the animal was rescued.
The pressure mentioned: “This night the crew responded to a report of a priority for welfare of an animal in the midst of the highway. The next description was given: ‘Its about two ft tall, lengthy slender neck, kinda orange and black invoice. The rest?… Effectively It’s a Swan’.
“We’re happy to say we managed to find and reunite the Swan with its household on the Hilsea Lido.”
