Demi Vollering climbed to solo victory atop the legendary Col de Tourmalet to assert the Queen Stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Swift. Leaping from a diminished peloton, Vollering caught and handed Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon//Sram Racing) with 5 kilometres to go on the foggy higher slopes of the hors class climb to take the third win for SD Worx.
Niewiadoma held on for second and world champion Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar) crossed the road in third place.
In a dominating present of power, Vollering crushed her rivals and is the brand new general chief with one stage to go.
